Looks like the storms have passed for the next few days, at least. I'm looking forward to some sunny skies & dry air. Hope it is the same for all of you. Nothing really new today. There will be lots of #Coffee, some #writing, some note taking, maybe a bit of #art & some #chocolate.
Since I posted about Pendle Pingles & Harold the cat-bird...dun, dun, DUNNNN. Today, I will leave you with a massively lazy creature.
May I present, the Keepum. (Not very pretty, is he?)

The Keepum looks strong, doesn't he? Those teeth look quite scary, right? Not to worry. They are practically harmless, unless you try to take their treasure. They are extremely lazy and prefer to remain underground and wait, none to patiently, for Snaggits to return each night with full sacks of human treasures. They will roll off or out from under their dirt mounds and , like lightening, snatch the sacks right out of the Snaggits' hands. A battle for the sacks will ensue until the horizon shows the first signs of morning. They will fall asleep mid fight, until the moon is high and it all begins again.
Keepums do not associate with humans, but they are just as nasty as Snaggits. Never enter a dark cave, because it might be the home of a group of Keepums. Unlike the Snaggits, the Keepums have small heads and larger bodies. With claws on their feet and hands, it makes it easy to snatch a sack. Keepums have been known to remain lying under their mounds and simply stick out a foot and hook a sack with their clawed toes.

Harold
Sweet Harold was a bit of an accident, between this little feline and a random feathered friend. Mrs. Pitt didn't mean to, but Harold got a little too close to her unpredictable magic and POOF! cat-bird.
Harold doesn't mind. He finds a certain freedom in soaring the skies and the mixture of cat food and bird seed is quite tasty. But, do not let Harold's cuteness fool you. He's a fast little creature and has the ability to breath fire.
Mrs. Pitt has no idea where the fire power came from, but it has been useful on occasion.

A few yards away, behind Knoxby's shack, a one-eyed, porcelain baby doll danced with a brown mouse beside a woman who sat underneath a bush with her knees up to her chest.
“Little gibbering mouse, what do you say? The old man has gone far, far away,” said Alice.
The brown mouse squeaked and pirouetted in front of her, while the baby doll looked on. Alice rested her head on her knees and rocked back and forth.
“No, said the gibbering mouse. “Beware little boys. He will be back. And the witch he will bring up through the crack.”

All that's left revise are the boxed sets.I think our heatwave is almost over. (crosses fingers.) Have you been having a heatwave, too? From what I've read it's all over. Mother nature has gone a bit crazy, imo. :)
